For most of us, the day after Labour Day is our real New Year’s morning. It’s the day we make the greatest changes and impose far more serious resolutions than January 1.
This year (and every year) resolve to have your kids’ eyes tested. If they can’t see the blackboard clearly, they aren’t learning as well as they could be.
Since last year, their prescription may well have changed — not just because, like the rest of us, they love their phones, tablets and PCs.
Kids tend to spend more time outside than adults and their eyes are proportionately larger. So, they’re 50% more vulnerable to vision damage from UV rays than we are. Plus, with daylight shrinking at this time of year, they’re more likely to be outside while the sun’s low in the sky. And that’s when their eyes are most susceptible to UV ray damage.
You can protect them from the sun’s rays with good sunglasses. Most of sunglasses are currently available for 30% off until, conveniently, Hallowe’en night! You don’t even need a prescription to save.
And if you do have a prescription? You can get free single-vision lenses when you purchase frames until October 31. (Cannot be combined with other offers. See in-store for details.)
What if your kids (or you!) don’t like wearing glasses? We also have two contact lens specials going on in-store:
- Free 1-month supply of ACUVUE Dailies when you purchase a 1-year supply. Offer valid until October 31. Visit store for details.
- Free 3-month supply of ACUVUE OASYS lenses when you buy 1-year supply. Offer valid until October 31.
Start first with an eye examination. Call 905.826.2811 for an appointment. Or, if you don’t mind your kids showing you it’s done, book one directly online. Until we hear from you, Happy (Kind of) New Year!
